Attractions of Jastrzębia Góra and its surrounding area
Jastrzębia Góra is worth visiting not only because of the unique character of the resort, but also because of the great variety of coastline in the area. The village is located on a cliff coast. Despite the cliffs, Jastrzębia Góra has access to a beautiful, wide beach. This beach is not monotonous – on the western side it is sandy and on the eastern rocky. The cliff is also diverse, as beachgoers have to climb several hundred steps on one side and barely a few dozen on the other. The beach is full of people throughout the summer season, but there is always a free spot. In the autumn and winter months it becomes a place for countless walks for people seeking respite and a breath of the purest air, rich with iodine. It is also a place where people who enjoy bathing in icy water meet. During the holidays the bathing areas at the main beach entrances are guarded and designated by a lifeguard. The beach also offers something for sports aficionados – two beach volleyball courts. In the evenings, the beach is frequented by enthusiasts of sunsets and late-night bonfire parties. Be sure to visit the beach in two different seasons to experience for yourself its year-round magnificence.
Cliffs in Jastrzębia Góra
Jastrzębia Góra has the highest cliffs on the Baltic coast. That is what distinguishes Jastrzębia Góra from other places along the coastline. The Jastrzębia Góra cliff is 33 metres high and allows tourists to watch unforgettable sunsets and walk in a place saturated with a healing sea aerosol. The name is most likely meant to remind of the real king, once ruling the area around Jastrzębia Góra and the coastal cliffs – the hawk (jastrząb in Polish). A blue hiking trail runs along the edge of the Jastrzębia Góra cliffs.
‘Lisi Jar’ Gorge
The ‘Lisi Jar’ gorge is an integral part of the Seaside Landscape Park. The gorge stretches in a narrow strip from the land to the Baltic coast. The basin is up to 50 metres deep. As you walk along the gorge you can observe the magnificent beech trees, more than a hundred years old, which grow on the slopes of the gorge, creating an incredible microclimate. There are reasons to believe that the gorge was once about 10 km long, but the destructive influence of the sea caused it to be only 350 m long today. Legend has it that Count de Rosset created the country's first seaside tourist shelter ‘Nad Lisim Jarem’ at the entrance to Lisi Jar, and in its close vicinity, he placed a monument to commemorate the legend about Sigismund III Vasa landing in Lisi Jar after his unsuccessful attempt to claim the crown of Sweden.
The post-glacial ‘Strondowy Jar’ gorge
Pomerania offers many beautiful places where visitors can have a nice time. The post-glacial gorge named ‘Strondowy Jar’, located between Puck Street and Rybacka Road, is first and foremost one of the most interesting natural attractions in Jastrzębia Góra. Although it does not lead directly to the sea, it is located almost in the very centre of Jastrzębia Góra. A walk along the gorge, especially on the slopes, offers great views. Continuing towards Ostrowo along the marked hiking trail, you can admire the beautiful landscapes of coastal wet meadows.
‘Bielawa’ Nature Reserve
The ‘Bielawa’ nature reserve is yet another interesting place on the map of the region, allowing visitors to enjoy picturesque landscapes and spend time in an active way once they get tired of lying on the beach. The place has a unique atmosphere that attracts crowds of tourists to the seaside towns every year. It is ideal for lovers of nature, peace and quiet. The reserve is located in the buffer zone of the Seaside Landscape Park. It covers an area of almost 720 ha. It is situated between the villages of Jastrzębia Góra and Ostrowo, i.e. on the western outskirts of the village. The nature reserve serves mainly as a protection of, for example, a Baltic-type raised bog with vegetation and animal species threatened with extinction. The area of Bielawskie Błota is a wetland bird sanctuary of national importance. The species found in the area include: Montagu's harrier; crane; ringed plover; wood sandpiper; and short-eared owl.
The Światowid Promenade
Promenada Światowida is the main promenade and at the same time the centre of entertainment in Jastrzębia Góra. Tourists can not only eat in the surrounding restaurants, but also spend the day with their children, enjoying the attractions available in this corner of the village. The offer is complemented by cafés, souvenir or clothing shops and pubs. A square with a fountain and a resting area is located at the Promenade. At the end of the Promenade there is a vantage point and an exit to the beach number 24.
Lighthouse in Rozewie
The lighthouse in Rozewie is one of the more representative attractions of the region. This lighthouse, standing on Cape Rozewie, is the oldest and northernmost building of its type. The lighthouse is quite distinctive – a white, brick lower part and a metal, red top. It is worth climbing onto the top of the lighthouse, which is almost 33 metres high, as you can admire the view of the whole area from there, including the panorama of the sea. Tourists can visit the building. Inside the lighthouse, there is an exhibition on the history of lighthouses Visitors can, for example, admire the front reflector of the lighthouse together with its electrical equipment. This equipment remained in place after two major reconstructions of the lighthouse. The second upgrade saw the biggest change in the appearance of the lighthouse. It was elevated by 8 metres by inserting a metal cylinder. It was elevated due to nearby trees growing in the Cape Rozewie Nature Reserve, which obscured the light from the lighthouse. Another light source was also installed on the tower. The other buildings that make up the complex, namely the barn, the bakery and the engine house, can also be visited. The lighthouse tower is 32.7 metres high. However, given the location of the lighthouse on a high escarpment, the light source is more than 83 metres high and can be seen from 26 nautical miles away. Two monuments are erected near the lighthouse – one to Stefan Żeromski and one to commemorate the Polish army takeover of Pomerania in 1920. The lighthouse in Rozewie is located at ul. Leona Wzorka 1. The street is named after a lighthouse keeper who worked here between 1920 and 1939.

Czarna Woda Canoe Harbour
It is located in Jastrzębia Góra on the route of the 13 km long canoe trail Kłanino – Czarny Młyn – Jastrzębia Góra – Ostrowo. It is an ideal trail for families with children, as it is very easy. The canoe trail is a great way to spend some time on a sunny day. Most of the route runs through the wetland area of the North Kashubian ice-marginal valley, free of water obstacles. The trail has infrastructure, i.e. harbours allowing us to stop and rest. The harbours can be used for launching a canoe. The trail is not as crowded as, for example, the Piaśnica rafting trail, so there may be thickets along its route. The trail runs along the Czarna Wda river, which reaches the Baltic Sea, so the end of the trail is a nice surprise, as you enter the open sea in a canoe.
